SC orders elections commission to hold elections to elect members for Elpitiya PS

COLOMBO (News1st):- The Supreme Court today (August 30) issued an order to the National Elections Commission to immediately hold an election to elect members for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha. The Supreme Court delivered the order with regard to a petition filed by the Secretary of the Democratic United National Front against rejecting its nominations for the Elpitiya Pradeshiya Sabha at the recent Local Government Elections. The order was delivered by Justices Prasanna Jayawardena, Vijith Malalgoda and Murdhu Fernando.
