COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Department of Meteorology states that heavy rainfall of over 100mm could be expected from the Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces and in most areas of the Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.

Further, the wind speed across the island is forecasted to increase to around 70kmph while the wind speed near the coastal area is due to increase up to 70-80 kmph.
