Several high profile criminals tranferred to Boosa prison

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Prisons has decided to move inmates convicted of serious crimes to the Boosa Prison. This group of inmates includes those sentenced to death for smuggling heroin and being involved in organized crime. Prisons Commissioner, T.M.J.W. Tennakoon said that 25 suspects including Wele Suda and Kanjipani Imran have already been transferred to the Boosa prison. It has been revealed that this group has been involved in smuggling while they were imprisoned as well. The Prisons Commissioner added that between 100 to 150 more inmates are due to be transferred to the Boosa prison.
