Upcountry trains delayed due to derailment

Colombo (News 1st): There has been a delay in upcountry trains due to a derailment between Gampola and Walapane. According to the Railway Control Room the derailment had occurred during 8.30 in the morning. The Railway Control Room further stated that they have already begun the repairs to the tracks and that steps have been taken to restore the upcountry railway service as soon as possible.
