Colombo (News 1st): President Maithripala Sirisena has issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification ordering the deployment of troops from the three armed forces to maintain public order across all districts.

It is under the Public Security Ordinance. Meanwhile, the Defence Ministry said yesterday (August 23) that the state of emergency will not be extended.
