COLOMBO (News 1st) - Notice was served on Prime Minister's Secretary Saman Ekanayake to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing fraud and corruption at State Institutions over the past 04 years.
Saman Ekanayake is noticed to report to the Police Unit of the Presidential Commission at 09 am on August 27th.
This is with regard to a complaint filed citing financial embezzlement that had taken place when leasing a building in Rajagiriya for the Ministry of Agriculture.
Initially, it was revealed at the presidential commission that it was the Prime Minister who had put forward the cabinet paper to lease the building for the Ministry of Agriculture.
