8 foreign prostitutes arrested in Kollupitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Eight foreign women with visit visas who were engaged in prostitution were arrested in Kollupitiya today(August 22). Deputy Controller of the Investigation Division at Department of Immigration and Emigration, V. Kariyawasam noted that 7 Philippine nationals and a Russian were arrested following an operation carried out by the tactical operatives. He added that the gender of the passports was male and the prostitutes were taken to the Mirihana Detention for further legal processing.
