Island-wide GMOA strike tomorrow; emergency services to function as usual

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Government Medical Officers Association has decided to commence an island-wide, 24-hour strike action from 10 am tomorrow (August 22). The GMOA, however, said, despite the strike action in effect all emergency services will function as usual. The strike will not take place at Maternity Hospitals, Children's Hospitals, Maharagama Apeksha Hospital, Nephrology –Dialysis and Kidney Transplant Units and Hospitals of the 03 armed forces.
