Sajith Premadasa : Sole heir of the UNP - Ranjith Aluvihare

COLOMBO (News 1st) -  Deputy Leader of the United National Party Minister Sajith Premadasa today (August 19) launched another model village at Eeriyagolla in Matale. The village has been named Srimath Alick Aluviharegama, in memory of former Minister Alick Aluvihare. This village, comprising 23 housing units is the 257th village constructed under the Semata Sevana Uda Gammana Programme. Minister Sajith Premadasa, Deputy Leader of the United National Party noted that some individuals are speaking in a narrow sense when it comes to national security and assume that military rule is necessary. He added that it should be discussed in a broader sense and establish economic security, social security, political security which means to secure absolute security in the country. He went on to note that proper national policies should be implemented. He added that in a Premadasa regime he would not reduce war heroes of the nation to a state of garbage cleaners or road constructors, and they will be carrying out what they are supposed to - defending the nation proudly. Wasantha Aluvihare, State Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Economic Affairs noted that Minister Sajith Premadasa is surrounded by an ocean of people wherever he goes and he must be the presidential candidate of the UNP at the upcoming elections, if not they would decide to leave the party. Ranjith Aluvihare, State Minister of Tourism Development, Wildlife & Christian Religious Affairs praised Minister Sajith Premadasa for his loyalty to the party. He added that the minister never left the party or criticized the party. He added that he is the sole heir to the leadership of the UNP.
