43 year old arrested with automatic firearm

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A 43-year-old resident of Thalgaspe has been arrested in Pitigala for possession of an automatic firearm.
The police said that the arrest was made based on information received by the Crimes Investigation Unit of the Ampara division. The suspect who was presented before the Ampara Magistrate was remanded till the 30th of this month.
