Police launch investigation into assault of constable

Colombo (News 1st): A Police constable attached to the Wellawaya Police was seriously injured after he was assaulted by 4 men on Sunday night (August 11). According to witnesses, 4 men had entered his residence and attacked him. The constable was rushed to the Buttala Hospital for treatment. The Police has launched an investigation to locate and arrest the suspects connected to the assault.
