COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Movement for Social Justice convened a media briefing in Colombo and Professor Chandraguptha Thenuwara, Co-Convener of the movement shared his thoughts on the impressions of the opposition leader Mahinda Rajapaksa at the presidential candidate announcement yesterday (August 11). He noted that the citizens of the country should be on guard to avoid Sri Lanka ending up a cemetery once again. He added that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is responsible. He expressed that it was evident that Mahinda Rajapaksa resorted a poor decision when his facial expressions were observed. He added his facial expressions clearly depicted that Mahinda Rajapaksa was clearly against his will as he was threatened with a pistol to his back and taken hostage. He further added Mahinda Rajapaksa who was renowned as a humane a peoples person was quite different yesterday and it could be an invisible party behind this matter. The professor finally added that it was high time that the public should be wary and vigilant in this matter.
