Man stabbed to death in Pugoda : Suspect flees area

COLOMBO (News 1st): A 50-year-old person has been stabbed to death near the Mandawaila Mahinda Vidyalaya in Pugoda. The police said that the murder occurred as a result of an escalated dispute. The victim who was identified as a resident of Mandawila was first struck by a pestle and then stabbed with a sharp object. The suspected murderer has fled the area, however, police investigations are ongoing to trace the suspect.
