2 Agrarian officers caught red handed while accepting a bribe

Colombo (News 1st):
Two Agrarian Development Officers have been arrested in Ulpathagama for accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) said that the bribe had been requested to extend the duration of a gem mining permit.
The suspects were arrested while accepting a bribe at the Agrarian Services Office of Ulpatgama in Hasalaka, Minipe.
Accordingly, the Agricultural Research and Production Assistant and the Agrarian Development Divisional Officer were arrested.
