President on a state visit to Cambodia

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena began his four-day state visit to Cambodia today(August 07). Upon the head of the state's arrival at the Phnom Penh International Airport, President Sirisena was warmly welcomed by Samdech Chaufea Veang Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace and Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information and Minister-in-attendance. The aim of this visit is to further strengthen bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Cambodia. The two countries will pay special attention to expand mutual cooperation in economic, trade, tourism sectors. President Sirisena also attended the inauguration of the Business Forum organized by the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce.
