Colombo (News 1st): The Department of Examinations states that a special security program will be implemented at the examination centres where the Grade 5 scholarship examination and G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations are held. Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath B. Pujitha noted that accordingly, they have taken steps to deploy tri-forces and police officers to all examination centres. A total of 339,369 candidates will sit for the Grade 5 scholarship examination that is due to be held tomorrow (August 4). The Commissioner-General informs the candidate to be at their respective examination centres by 9 am. He noted that candidates should display their exam number, on the top left side of the dress. Furthermore, parents will not be allowed to enter the examination centre premises until the scholarship examination is over. Meanwhile, the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination will begin the day after tomorrow (August 5) and will continue till August 31st.
