Zahran's brother-in-law arrested in Katupotha

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A member of the banned extremist group known as the National Thawheed Jamaath has been arrested in the Kekunagolla area at Katupotha. According to the Police, the name of the arrested suspect is Muhammadu Abdul Cader Cassim and he is a 28-year-old resident of Katupotha. Police added the suspect had received weapons training in Nuwara Eliya, under the leader of the National Thawheed Jamath, Zahran Hashmi. The suspect is also the elder brother of the Zahran Hashmi's wife. It has also been revealed that the suspect's aunt is married to Nawfer Moulavi.
