Extra classes for G.C.E. A/L examinations suspended from midnight today

Colombo (News 1st): The Department of Examinations states that all seminars, lectures and tuition classes pertaining to the G.C.E. A/L examinations, will be suspended from midnight today (July 30). It added all tuition classes and seminars pertaining to the scholarship exam will be suspended from midnight tomorrow (July 31). The suspension will be in effect until the respective examinations have concluded. Thereby, conducting tutorials, lectures, seminars and workshops, printing and distributing model question papers, among other things, will be prohibited. The Commissioner-General of Examinations Sanath Pujitha stated that if any person or institution ignores these orders, they would be found guilty under the Examinations Act. The G.C.E. A/L examination will commence on August 5th while the Grade 5 scholarship exam will be held on August 4th.
