521 foreigners deported for violating immigration regulations

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Immigration and Emigration states that investigations have been carried out on nearly 1400 foreigners who remained in the country illegally. Media spokesperson at the Department, Milinda Gayan says that among 1400 that 521 individuals were already deported from the country. He further said that 154 individuals who were arrested for overstaying in the country are currently detained at the Mirihana detention centre.
