Water levels at hydro-power reservoirs increase

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Water levels in the reservoirs have risen to 33% after the heavy rainfall in the last few days. According to the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy spokesperson Sulakshana Jayawardena, hydropower generation has increased by 20%. The spokesperson added that the issue surrounding power failures/outages caused by recent bad weather has been resolved.
