Third phase of Rajagala excavations commences today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The third phase of excavations of the largest cave at the Rajagala archaeological site commenced yesterday(July 23). The excavations are supervised by the Archaeology Department along with the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Excavations of the prehistoric Rajagala site began in 2016.
