Police raid ganja farm that spans across an acre of land

Colombo (Newsfirst) - The Hambegamuwa Police raided a Marijuana cultivation which had been in operation for an extended period of time. The cultivation which spanned across one acre of land was also located in close proximity to a plant nursery used for Marijuana plants. The owner of the cultivation has been arrested and further investigations are underway. In addtion, the Udugama police arrested a suspect last night (July 23) along with 500g of Kerala Ganja. The suspect was arrested based on a tip-off received. According to the Police, the arrested contraband is worth around Rs 150,000. Police believe that the suspect had been involved in transporting contraband over a long period of time.
