Inclement weather; Dengue on the rise

COLOMBO (News 1st): The health sector issues warning that there is a risk of the dengue epidemic increasing due to the prevailing inclement weather. Community Specialist at the National Dengue Eradication Unit, Dr Prashila Samaraweera says that most of the dengue patients have been reported from the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces. She added that 29,000 patients were recorded so far within the year.
