Colombo (News 1st): State Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Dilip Wedaarachchi today (July 17) made a request of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
He noted that recently the Assistant Leader of the UNP Minister of Power Ravi Karunanayake visited the former President's house in Medamulana in a chopper. The state minister then noted that the minister then went to the Kondagala Viharaya and presented a proposal worth billions as per a request made by our Secretary of Defence.
Wedaarachchi requested the Prime Minister, to ensure that these type of incidents don't occur again and also requested him to look into this and do the needful.
However on July 15th, when journalists questioned the opposition leader regarding his meeting with Minister Ravi Karunanayake, he denied that they met and noted that he was in Colombo.
