Partial lunar eclipse tonight

COLOMBO (News 1st) - People of Sri Lanka will have the opportunity to witness a partial lunar eclipse at midnight today(July 16). Professor Chandana Jayaratne, Director of the Astronomy and Space Science Unit of the University of Colombo stated that the eclipse will be visible to Sri Lanka as well as to Australia, Africa, South America, Europe and Asia. It will be the last lunar eclipse this year the people of Sri Lanka will experience and the next lunar eclipse of this nature will only be visible on the 26th of May, 2021.
