Military SUV accident: one dead nine injured

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A soldier was killed while 9 others were injured in an accident as the military SUV they were travelling toppled in Watrapale area in Mullaitivu. Army media spokesperson Brigadier Sumith Atapattu stated that the accident was caused due to a technical malfunction in the SUV. The victims were returning home following their duty and the SUV were escorting them to their bus stop when the accident occurred. The injured are currently receiving treatment at the Mullaitivu hospital.
