2450 apprehended in islandwide DUI operations

COLOMBO (News 1st): 2450 drivers were arrested in DUI operations conducted over eight days. Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that the island-wide operation to arrest individuals driving under the influence commenced on July 5th. He further noted that within the 24 hours that ended at 6.00 am this morning (July 13) 260 suspects were arrested.
