COLOMBO (News 1st) – MP Dayasiri Jayasekara has been summoned to appear before the Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to probe the 21st April attacks.

Chairman of the committee,  Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri noted that appropriate legal action will be taken against the MP if he fails to appear before the committee today(July 10).

In addition, DIG of the Eastern Province Kapila Jayasekera and Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Nihal Ranasinghe have also been requested to appear before the Parliamentary Committee probing the April attacks. The Committee is set to convene at 02 PM.
