Narammala PS deputy chairman behaves like a thug : Arrested for assaulting police officer

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Deputy Chairman of the Narammala Pradeshiya Sabha, Manjula Polgampola has been arrested for assaulting a police officer. Police spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara noted that the deputy Chairman had arrived at the Narammala police station with another person around 10.45 last night and assaulted a police constable. The police constable has been admitted to Kuliyapitiya hospital. Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of the Narammala Pradeshiya Sabha Manjula Polgampolam was produced before the Kuliyapitiya Magistrate and was remanded until the 3rd of next month.
