Beedi wrapping smuggling : Another 772 kg seized in Mannar

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Police Narcotic Bureau seized 772 kg beedi wrappings or tendu leaves from the Oluthuduwai coast in Mannar.
Police spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekera said the stock of beedi wrappings were found buried in the beach and a suspect was arrested.
It is believed the beedi wrappings may have been brought to Sri Lanka by sea from India.
