COLOMBO (News 1st): Venerable Athuraliya Rathana Thero submitting a written complaint to the acting IGP stating that the investigations regarding Dr Mohommad Safi Sahabdeen of Kurunegala are not being carried out in an efficient manner.

Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that accordingly, the acting IGP had requested for a comprehensive report on the investigation carried out on the said doctor from the Senior DIG of the Criminal Investigations Department.

SP Gunasekara added that further action will be taken based on the report.
