Work suspension for four employees of Galle bus depot

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Manager of the Galle depot and four others have been suspended. An officer of the Southern Province Divisional Secretariat stated that the suspended members have been charged with stealing ticket machines and issuing fake tickets to passengers. He added that they have been charged with defrauding hundreds of thousands of rupees. The rest of the suspended officers include two computer operators and a deployment officer. A bus conductor was previously remanded in connection to the charges while it has also been reported that two other ticket printing machines are missing.
