COLOMBO (News 1st) - The President stated that speculations regarding a referendum are false. He said this when he met the heads of media this morning (June 26).
The President added that whoever gets elected in the 2020 presidential election, should abolish the 19th amendment if the country is to prosper. He finally added that it was prudent to abolish the 19th amendment prior to the presidential election 2020.
