Accident in Kilinochchi claims the lives of five Army personnel

COLOMBO (News 1st): A fatal motor accident that was reported from the Kilinochchi 55th mile post area claimed the lives of five army personnel. Army Spokesperson Brigadier Sumith Athapattu stated that two other army personnel are currently receiving treatment for injuries. The accident occurred when a truck belonging to the Sri Lanka Army crashed into a train between the Kilinochchi and Murukandi railway stations at around 1.45pm. Seven army personnel were on the truck at the time of the accident. They had met with the fatal accident when they were going to bring water. The deceased army personnel includes two corporals of the army.
