Research to evaluate living conditions of children in orphanages

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Probation and Child Care Services in affiliation with the Department of Census and Statistics have taken measures to evaluate the living condition of the children in orphanages islandwide. Director General of the Department of Probation and Child Care Services, Chandima Sigera noted that there are 12 000 sheltered in 400 orphanages in the country. She added that they would understand the condition of the orphanages as well.
