Landslide warnings in five districts

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) stated that 5 districts are facing risks of landslides due to prevailing rainy weather conditions. Senior Scientist of the landslide studies unit of the NBRO Dr. Wasantha Senadheera said the districts of  Galle, Matara, Ratnapura, Kegalle and Kalutara are at risk of facing landslides. He further noted that the public should remain vigilant. The NBRO informs the public to follow the instructions given by them if the probability of landslide risk escalates.
