COLOMBO (News 1st): An extraordinary gazette notification was issued extending the emergency regulations by another month. The Gazette was issued on behalf of the President by Udaya Seneviratne of the Presidential Secretariat. The Gazette reads that these measures were taken in order to ensure the security of the general public and ensure the smooth flow of the country's activities.
