COLOMBO (News 1st): Directing an open challenge in parliament to MP Wimal Weerawansa, the Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress Rishard Bathiudeen spoke on the statement made by MP Weerawansa against him on the 18th of this month.

He claimed that the parliamentarian had made a defaming, insulting and false accusation against him linking him with terrorism and violence on the 18th. Bathiudeen continued to say that the MP had said that the suicide bomber who killed herself in the housing complex in Dematagoda is the daughter of his mother’s sibling.

He challenged the parliamentarian to come out and prove this accusation stating that he is ready to withdraw from politics and from his position if he does so, while also questioning if MP Weerawansa is ready to give up his position if he cannot prove the accusation.
