COLOMBO (News 1st): The Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith recalled the 04/21 attacks during his visit to Rome, yesterday (June 20).
The Rome Reports News Agency reported that his Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith spoke to the journalists prior to the meeting with His Holiness Pope Francis.
Speaking to the journalists his Eminence had said that in one incident that there was a father who lost his wife and three children. He continued to say that when he visited this father to inquire about his situation, what this father had told him was that unlike the other days when he comes home after work, now he has no one to come running to greet him and that the house is so empty.
He added that he asked the Catholics, the Buddhists and everyone else belonging to different religions and castes not to raise their hand against the Muslims because it is clear that their community has nothing to do with the matter.
