Investigations by Parliamentary Select Committee will continue-MP Sarath Fonseka

COLOMBO (News 1st) -  A program to free cattle from slaughterhouses was held in commemoration of Poson Poya day yesterday(June 17). The program was held at the Kelaniya Galborella Viharasthanaya and MP Sarath Fonseka attended the event. Sarath Fonseka noted that despite the opposition from several parties the investigations of the Parliamentary Select Committee would remain in effect as it was appointed by the parliament itself. He added that the committee is entitled to expose any misconduct by the officials which led to the unspeakable 4/21 attacks. He went on to note that it was those who ignored their duties who are against the committee as it would reveal their weaknesses. He noted that whoever to be elected in the upcoming presidential election he would be a failure if he does not work for the well being of the country.  He accepted that the country did not progress over the course of the last five years and the citizens of the country should be prudent enough to elect the right person to lead the country.
