SLTB workers protest at Sirikotha demanding salary increments

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The National Workers' Society of the SLTB staged a demonstration at the Siri Kotha premises demanding for their salaries increments following their promotions. The employees demanded to meet Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam. They claimed that the minister avoided them and therefore they staged a protest for their demands. During the protest, the CEO of the UNP Shamal Senaratne arrived at the scene and attempted to resolve the matter but to no avail.
