Horowpathana OIC bribe: Suspect further remanded

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A man who attempted to offer a bribe of Rs 250,000 to the Horowpathana Police OIC was further remanded till the 11th of June by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today(June 04). The Horowpathana police division arrested a man under charges of aiding in extremist activities and an accomplice attempted to offer the bribe seeking assistance to secure bail for the initially arrested suspect. He had promised the OIC a bribe of Rs 500,000 and was arrested when offering Rs. 250,000 as an advance.
