Health ministry to discuss recommendations against Kurunegala doctor

COLOMBO (News 1st) - An interim report compiled by the committee investigating the allegations against Dr Seigu Shihabdeen Mohamed Shafi who is alleged to have carried out illegal sterilization procedures was handed over to the Ministry of Health yesterday(June 03) . The Ministry notes that discussions will be held today to consider recommendations made in the report. The ministry added that a decision will be reached on the actions against the doctor in question after reviewing investigation report complied by the CID as well. Over 544 complaints have been lodged against Dr Seigu Shihabdeen Mohamed Shafi.
