COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Marine Environment Protection Authority has advised the general public to minimize the usage of the beach area from Wellawatte to Mount Lavinia.
The Director-General of the Marine Environment Protection Authority, Dr Terney Pradeep Kumara noted that the decision was taken due to a black oil residue which washed ashore between Wellawatte and Mount Lavinia.
