Ven Athuraliye Rathana Thero continues fast unto death

COLOMBO (News 1st): MP Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thero continued his fast unto death for the second day today (June 01). Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thero paid homage to the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic yesterday morning (May 31) before engaging in the fast unto death campaign opposite the Temple. The Venerable Thero began the fast calling for the removal of certain individuals holding government positions. Former Governor Hemakumara Nanayakkara, MP S.B Dissanayaka were among the people who visited the Thero during his fast since yesterday. A team of doctors from the Kandy hospital also arrived to check on the health of the Thero.
