Vehicular movement in Cinnamon Gardens and Bambalapitiya police areas to be limited

Colombo (News 1st): Police say that vehicular movement in several roads in Cinnamon Gardens and Bambalapitiya police areas will be limited, due to road construction work. Police said vehicular movement will be limited in several parts starting at the Sports Ministry at Philip Gunewardene Mawatha, to Thunmulla Junction, Foundation Institute junction along Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha and Glen Aber Place in Marine Drive. This will be in effect until September 1st. Police said motorists can use alternate routes such as 8th Lane and Haig Road to enter Galle Road. Further, traffic will only be allowed on one direction from the 15th of this month to the 15th of September on Professor Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha. During this period vehicle travelling towards Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha from Bauddhaloka Mawatha should be directed towards Independence Roundabout and then enter Philip Gunawardena Mawatha.
