SriLankan Airlines resume air travels to Pakistan

Colombo (News 1st): Air travel between Sri Lanka and Pakistan resumed today (June 1) following a three month hiatus. Media Spokesperson to SriLankan Airlines Deepal Perera said the first flight from Sri Lanka to Pakistan's commercial capital Karachi flew off at 12.20 AM today from the Katunayake International Airport. The flight is due to reach Karachi by 3.10 PM  and will make its way back home at 4.10 PM.

SriLankan Airlines said that Pakistan - Sri Lanka flights will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Following the recent escalation in violence between Pakistan and India, Pakistan government temporarily closed its air space on the 27th of February.
