Minuwangoda Unrest: 15 Suspects granted bail

Colombo (News 1st): Fifteen of the 19 people arrested for acts of unrest in Minuwangoda recently were granted bail, while the other four were ordered to be released by Minuwangoda Magistrate Kesara Samaradiwakara. Producing the suspects in court, Police said action will be taken against them under the provisions of the Penal Code. Thereby, each of the 15 suspects were released on two surety bails of Rs. 200,000 each. According to News 1st correspondent, Police had informed the court that it has been revealed that the other 04 people were not involved in the clashes and thereby court ordered their release.
