Information Director of Finance Ministry granted bail

Colombo (News 1st): Information Director of the Finance Ministry Mohamed Ali Hassan who was arrested earlier today (May 29), was released after recording a statement. Mohamed Hassan Ali was arrested at Malwana today for the possession of 93 bullets compatible with a 12 bore shotgun, 02 swords and a number of books with suspicious content. The items were discovered in a joint search operation carried out by the Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Police. The Police spokesperson said the bullets were found in the roof of the two houses located close to each other, said to be belonged by Mohamed Hassan Ali. However, Police spokesperson added, an issue had arisen with regard to his understanding of the location of the bullets.
