Former Air Force Commander hands over duties

Colombo (News 1st): Air Marshal Sumangala Dias was appointed as the 17th Air Force Commander today (May 29).  His letter of appointment was presented by President Maithripala Sirisena at his official residence. The new Air Force commander commenced his duties at the Sri Lanka Air Force headquarters earlier today. Former Air Force Commander Air Chief Marshall Kapila Jayampathy officially handed over duties to Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias. A guard of honour was presented to outgoing Air Force Commander Air Chief Marshall Kapila Jayampathy.
